Buy vs. Build. Need opinions

First off, I would like to apologize if this thread is one, way to commonly asked, and two, if it is in the wrong category.

So I have been doing a lot of research for my first PC build. I hope to have a decent PC but I cannot decide whether to buy or build it. The videos and forums I have read all kinda just state the same thing, "Building is more hard work but cheaper and buying is faster but more expensive". The thing is, I want to know what some people's experiences were with the other parts of buying a computer. Such as, how it ran and how it runs still (if it is still your current PC), or how the cable management was, or if you ever needed to use the warranty and what the experience was like. I wanted to know if you ever regretted buying over building. Also, I have NEVER built a PC before.

I am NOT asking for someone to show me a a build, I am asking for opinions and experiences.

Thank you in advanced

EDIT: I plan to keep the PC I get for years to come.

Building your own computer can be frustrating for your first time if you run into problems but very rewarding once completed. It's a lot easier if you know some one that had done it before because you are your own tech support! I'd say if you are good at diagnosing and solving PC issues then it's totally worth building your own. I'd also say that if you want to become better at working on PC's then it's worth building your own. The community here will always be willing to assist which I'm sure you are well aware of but in the end it's all on you. My first PC build was full of problems but thanks to that I learned so much and I can honestly say without that experience I would have never found my passion for computers and become a System Administrator.

Thank you for answering. This actually helps very much and also makes me feel more confident in building my own PC. However, this seems like something more beneficial for a person who plans to build a PC very often. I only plan to get a new PC every 5 years or so. Is this true?

Also for the sake of comparison here is just an example build I threw together.
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/vuninja/saved/#savedbuild_837959
http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1G5XME (1G5XME is the configuration # if link doesn't work, should be $2012)

So the self-built is significantly cheaper, but the pre-built comes almost hassle-free. Is the $200-ish dollars better to usefor better parts?

NOTE: This is an example build. Nothing final.

It's not just beneficial to someone that plans to build a PC often but it also gives you more control over what goes into your PC without all the guess what that comes with a pre-built PC. Then there are the cost savings from building your own PC overtime since you don't have to replace the entire device.

The only item I'd suggest changing would be to replace the SSD you listed with the Samsung Evo but that's just my personal preference.
