i am currently running with
CPU-amd x4 740k quad 3.2 ghz
GPU- r9 270 2gb
RAM-8Gb (4gbx2) ddr3 1600
POWER-430w corsair
Motherboard-Msi a78m-e35

the system i have right now isnt bad but it defintaley is not amazing either, i struggle to get 60 fps on games like insurgency day z and metro last light so im upgrading a couple of things, first im upgrading to a 730w power supply for a good gap of upgradeability, then im upgrading my processor to the amd fx 6300 black edtion. lastly i want to upgrade my graphics card but im really unsure because i currently have the msi r9 270 and i was thinking about A R9 280X but almost every review complains about the fans dieing and leaking oil somewhere so thats a no. then i was looking at the nvidia counterpart which is the gtx 760 which is priced at 260$ while my r9 270 was only 180$ ! on most benchmarks the gtx 760 only came out on top with a few extra frames with a almost a 80$ increase! i need something ill be able to max out most current gen and future gen games but it has to be compatible with my motherboard (im not sure on that) which is the msi a78m-e35, i have like a 350$ budget

The 280x or Gtx 770 should be in your price range. When it comes to price/performance (as the list I linked is arranged), the 280x is better. As for the reviews of the fans..there are several companies producing 280x's, it could be just that brand. I stick with Sapphire, ASUS and XFX as I have found that they have the best quality and some nice cooling solutions.

I assume you are using the power supply with 32 amps on the 12v rail, so I wouldn't go beyond the gtx 660. I would sell the cpu and get an x4 760k.

Upgrade to something like a cx600 and get these:

Prices have been going down GREATLY
The gtx 760 is a lot closer to the r9 280x than the 270.

DON'T SKIMP ON THE PSU. A 550 WATT GOLD IS BETTER THAN A CRAPPY 1200 WATT.
