I am thinking about buying R9 280 since it is more powerful than my old GTX 590 and somebody told me that faster than gtx 760. But the webpage says its power recommended supply should be 750w. So I was wondering. Will my PC handle it? I have 750w supply, but I was using gtx 590 which only needed 700W. So how now? How much is my PC using when max. performance with my old system setup? And how much power supply would it use if I changed the old card for the new R9 280?
My PC setup:
CPU: Core i7 2600K @ 3.8 GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte P67A UD7 B3
RAM: 16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz XMP
HDD: WD Caviar Black 1000GB 64MB cache
SSD: Kingston V+100 96GB
Video Card: Gigabyte nVidia GTX 590
27" Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD 1920x1080
PSU: SeaSonic X750 GOLD 750W 80 Plus
Cooling: Corsair H70 Hydro Series
I cannot buy a new supply so I need to know if the one I have is OKAY.
Thank you
