GTX 760: Two six pin to one eight pin connectors?

Hi guys,

So I just bought a new GTX 760, and when setting up my GPU inside of my PC, the GPU came with an eight pin connector to plug into the GPU with two six pin connectors. One with black and yellow cables and one with the same wires except one of the cables is brown.

(Sorry for potato quality)

I don't have an extra six-pin connector to plug into the second one. Does that matter?

First off, its not recommend to use said adapter anyway.

If you have to, you should use BOTH 6 pin connectors, as you will be starving the card of power.
(my 760 has a 6 pin and an 8 pin, both of which are connected to the PSU directly)

It wont damage the PSU, but the card may shutdown randomly due to lack of power. My recommendation, upgrade the power supply.
