Would my machine be able to make use of R9 270X?

I'm trying to upgrade my graphics card to R9 270X, but read somewhere about not being able to make full use of it because of bottlenecks caused by other parts of the system, such as weaker processors? Is this true? This is my current setup:

Processor: i5-3350P 4 CPU 3.1GHz
RAM: 8gb
Motherboard: MSI H61M-P21 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130603)
Graphics Card: Radeon HD 6670
Monitors: 2 monitors 1920 x 1080 resolution
Power supply: OCZ ZS Series 550W 80PLUS Bronze High Performance Power Supply (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=248)
Overclock: no
OS: Windows 7 64 bit

I'm also wondering if my old mobo can handle it. I noticed it doesn't have PCIE 3.0

the 270x should be a nice bump in performance.

I'm not sure where the bottlenecks would come in from. You will notice a difference in performance for sure. I believe your PSU should be able to handle it.

Sorry another question, I just noticed my mobo doesn't have PCIE 3.0:

Would that mean I can't attach the 270x?

pci-e slot doesn't matter.

power supply is a little off what I would run but give it a go.

you can run it. The 3.0 card is backwards compatible, meaning it'll work on a 2.0 slot. There aren't many cards out there that can fully saturate a 2.0 x16 slot as is.

It won't bottleneck. I have almost exactly the same setup as yours.
