Hello,

Just ordered a new computer and now I am wonder about the screen.

I want to buy a good screen for gaming.
I don't want the tearing.

What screen should I get? 1 with 1ms respond time?

This for example? http://www.amazon.com/VN247H-P-23-6-Inch-Screen-LED-Lit...

Or there is anything else I need to check about?
If so then what should I check about before buying a monitor?

Any monitor shouldn't tear with vsync. None of the specs affect tearing. It'll happen either way when the gpu is outputting above the monitors refresh rate. If you don't want vsync, then go with a 120 or 144hz monitor.

Hi K1114 answer is correct I have an AOC G2460PQU 24 inch Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor 1920x1080, 144Hz, 1ms monitor playing Titanfall for instance I can turn of vsync and get no screen tearing at all, the games are smoother and faster. Just make sure you have the right GPU set up to run at an average of 120 or 144 fps or you wont see the same benefit.

Using one of these screens isn't quite as straightforward though, if you use AMD cards in crossfire like I do you have to put a second bridge onto the cards cost about £5 if you don't it will only run at 120hz without crashing the computer completely, but this is true of all 144hZ monitors. If like me you have 2 7870's you cant put a second bridge in as it doesn't have that option because 7870's will only run in dual configuration, So i have to either turn one card off which defeats the object or run the monitor at 120hz which actually is fine anyway because its a 100% increase and my average fps is about 120fps so the balance is right. I don't have a clue about Nvidea cards but I'm sure info is available on the internet. Whilst this monitor is principally a gaming monitor its actually great for everything else except photo editing, plus I am getting a lot less eye strain and dry eyes using the monitor due I suspect to the high re-fresh rate etc. The AOC monitor fluctuates greatly price wise you can get it for as little as £180 from Amazon which is the cheapest of any 144hz monitor I know of but at the moment its £220 but it will drop I suspect when Amazon themselves get it back in stock.
