Can record graphically intense games no sweat but minecraft lags and is choppy!

Hi, I recently built my gaming pc and everything is going great but i can't record minecraft smoothly. I can record bf4 or need for speed shift 2 just fine at pretty good fps but when it comes to minecraft it's really choppy. anybody know why? i just want to record Minecraft without it being so laggy and choppy!

PC specs-
i7 4770 @ 3.4ghz (no OC)
corsair h60 liquid cooler
8gb G.skill sniper ram 1600mhz
gigabyte h81 amp up MOBO
gigabyte radeon r9 280x
corsair 600w psu
seagate sshd
Windows 8.1 pro
I use dxtory to record.

do you use fraps? I personally use msi afterburner and it performs far better than fraps or bandicam.

EDIT: Duuu, didn't see you posted your recorder, I haven't seen It before.

does msi afterburner lock your fps? cause to be honest i hate that feature on FRAPS.
