So this is my first PC build and i'm unsure if all the parts work together and if it fits into the case. so this is what i want to put together:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Extreme 4
Graphics card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 OC Edition 4GB
Power supply: Seasonic M12II 620W
Memory: 8GB Ram

And the case i want to use is the BitFenix Colossus

So will all of this work together?

Solution
All the components are compatible, but the motherboard is an ATX motherboard and the case is a Mini-ITX case with support for Micro-ATX (not surprising). An ATX motherboard is much larger than both a Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX, so you will have problems there.

Well would it be better to get a different case then?

I would rather a large case so i can upgrade in the future. In what way will i have problems with the motherboard?

I don't understand your question. Are you asking what problems you would have fitting an ATX motherboard into a mini-itx or micro-atx case? If so, then it's like trying to fit a 1-foot by 9.6-inch cardboard into a box that only supports a cardboard of at most 9.6-inch by 9.6-inch. So you can see how you wouldn't be able to fit it in.

My suggestion for a case - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-case-fdcadefr4bl

Ok i understand now. I will have a look at some cases that will be compatible with a ATX motherboard.
Thanks for your help.

If you want a larger case, there is a good deal on the Corsair 500R at the moment.

Its cheaper than the Colossus too, so you could put the $ saved into getting a nice CPU cooler for that unlocked i5.

I'm easily able to fit my pair of Gigabyte GTX 760 in the case, they actually look kinda small, which is hard to believe, considering they are 30CM cards.(Same as yours will be)
