My brother and i want to play lan games, but my laptop can't connect to any lan.

Does anyone know of an external lan card that i can use to play lan?

USB is preferable, and my budget is £20.

Oh, you should've mentioned that you want WLAN. When you say "LAN", people assumed you meant wired LAN, not wireless.

For wireless, there are a bunch of wireless USB adapters. You can find a bunch in any decent computer hardware store. If your router supports AC, I recommend a TP-LINK Archer T4U AC1200 ($39.99). There are non-AC versions on that same model in that site if your router does not support AC. If your router does not support wireless N, it's time to buy a new router.

Thanks for the answer. I'm probably just being stupid, but it looks like there is a port on the end (not the USB part). Do I need to plug something into that? It looks like an ethernet port, but I wanted wireless LAN. Is this not possible, or does it need whatever plugs into that other end?
