PC dosen't detect my TV (HDMI)

Hello guys,
i have a problem with my GTX 660 graphic card, when i connect my HDMI cable to my TV the pc dosen't detect the TV. i tried to connect the TV to the Laptop and it works perfectly. so there is no problem with the cable. i also updated my graphic card driver and the problem still exist.

any ideas?

Just right click anywhere on your desktop and look for the nvidia control panel, look for something that shows the display options, and see if it shows up there

Problem could be that pc's don't start up unless the monitor is attached and the monitor (tv) can't attach till the pc starts up. Seen this before. Another reason not to use tv's.

Has the TV got a pc connnection (VGA)? If so, use that.

1. Its doesn't detect the TV when i click "detect" in the nvidia control panel nor in the windows screen resolution panel , on my laptop it does detect it.
2. there is no VGA port in my TV

I know on my tv that I have hooked up to my video card when I feel like watching movies I had to go to like hdmi1 on the tv before it would detect it. Sometimes I also need to restart my t.v to get it to work also

Tried it, doesn't seems to solve the problem. also tried restarting pc , reconnecting the cable nothing works

never thought this will be the problem but it seems i solved it. my ATX have a piece of metal which disturb the cable to be fully connected. had to adjust the graphic card a little bit on the motherboard
