Whenever I use my mic (sound recorder, steam voice chat, in-game push-to-talk chat, etc.), I lose sound.
I'm using a Blue Tiger bluetooth wireless headset (found on eBay).
I've tried the famous setting of "Do Nothing" under Control Panel > Sound > Communications tab > "When Windows detects communications activity". I've even tried Loudness Optimization, which somebody recommended but appears to have to do with normalizing loud sounds and quiet sounds (i.e., when you're watching a show and a TV commercial comes on that's super loud), but that didn't work either.
It's as if Windows completely ignores that setting.
I'm running:
Windows 8.1
i7 4770k
ASRock Z87 Extreme4 (Realtek onboard audio)
All drivers up to date
Can somebody please help me out here? I've searched Google for over 5 hours already and have found no solution.
