I recently bought a PC with this motherboard, AM3 socket. I am having difficulties choosing the right cooling for the CPU, which is Phenom x4 960T.
I'm sorry if it's a dumb question, but I'm really baffled when it comes to sizes etc. Does the type of my motherboard restricts the size of cooling I can attach to the CPU?
I measured the size of the cooler and it's 80x80mm. Can I attach a larger module? I don't know what I can fit. It seems like the heatsink and fan is 80x80.
I want to change cooling since it's inefficient.
It looks like this:
My case is 140mm width
