most probably the 1600mhz will downclock to match the gskill specs. however there is a chance you will have to manually set specs(mhz / cl timings and voltage through bios) for them to cooperate.!

When you add DRAM it takes all to the mobos default, (normally 1333 these days) then you need to set it to optimum and no guarantee mixed sticks will work, best to buy full amount you want in a single package
