When i play/start a steam game it often crashes and goes blue screen. My motherboard is ASrock 990fx Extreme 3 and I think im with the latest BIOS - http://prntscr.com/3vytst. My video card is AMD r9 270x. Does anyone know to fix it?
Yeah, you're basically screwed, Raidmax units are known to catch fire under load.
Ok but I don't think the problem with the bsod has to do anything with the PSU. I think it is a problem with the FX processors and steam. Is there any way to fix it besides getting a new CPU or MOBO?
-you should post your actual memory .dmp file on a cloud server and I will take a quick look.
-lots of blue screen issues in steam are related to bugs in the network driver and just require a driver update.
power issues can also cause blue screens but there are only certain bugcheck codes that tend to occur.
(CPU generated internal error checks and some AMD graphics force a "unknown" bugcheck when they don't get proper power)
