Hi, well i've just purchased an ASUS HD7950 CU ii and installed it. It runs fine until I open a game or program and then the PC will just turn off. No blue screen, no warnings, nothing. Then i have to unplug the pc from the wall and plug in again to get it to reboot as pressing the power button won't do anything. 9/10 times when I try and boot i just get a black screen after the bios menu and nothing happens at all. I've wiped the drivers from my old graphics card using various software and reinstalled and rebooted catalyst, all the drivers, the bios, everything. I just cannot get this to work. Any help? Thanks.
PC SPECS:
- AMD 6 core fx6100 processor
- 16gb of kingston basic 1600mhz ram
- HD7950 3gb
- 1tb HDD
- A single pci low end gigabyte motherboard (I forget the model number)
- 64 bit windows 7 home premium oem

Yup. PSU is at fault.

Replace it with a good 550W+ one, and your problems will almost certainly go away.

Usually an XFX Core 550W.

Depends on country.
