I got a few questions.I'm planning to get the I7 4790k very soon, like next month for my first ever Intel. Now I hear that Haswwell-E is coming out in September and will only run on the X99 2011 boards. How much will those boards cost? And since they support DDR4, will they also support DDR3 also? I was just planning on transferring the Ram I have now into the I7 4790k when I get it.
I also heard there is a 6 core Haswell E that will be around $350, I may just wait for that if it's going to be better than 4790k, but I don't want to spend a lot on a new motherboard and be forced to use expensive DDR4 since it's coming out.

Their isn't a price set on anything yet but currently they are saying the hexa core will be 650 euros not sure how much in usd and the 8 core will be over 1000 euros. There really isn't any information on the price of anything else right now.

Probably not for a while on the motherboards, normally you won't know until someone on youtube like ASUS shows off their new boards, normally they talk about the price. The ddr4 is said to be around the $100 price point for an 8 gig kit I believe and that is around 2400 speed

Hmm very interesting. I would hope companies start selling DDR4 boards very soon.
