Mac Partition Help

I need help real bad.
I installed ubuntu a few days back on a separate partition but it stopped working. I went into disk utility to delete the swap file and the os and i did that. Now it wont let me expand my old partition back to take up the whole disk and i cant find the recovery disk to repair the partition (I think i deleted the recovery disk). Please help me

Boot into recovery mode by holding down cmd + r while starting up. From there, launch disk utility, and try to expand from there. If it doesn't work, first clone your drive to an external disk, and then try booting off an Ubuntu live CD and using gparted, which is an excellent partition manager. Worst comes to worst, back up everything with time machine, wipe the drive, reinstall OSX, and restore your stuff. Good luck.
