Good day, I would like to ask your opinion for the following builds;

Intel i5 Option
Processor: i5-4690
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3H
GPU: Zotac GTX 750ti 2gb
Memory: Gskill RipjawsX 8gb (4gbx2) 1600 cl7
PSU: Aerocool Strike-X 500w PSU
Case: Raidmax Super Hurricane

AMD FX Option
Processor: fx-8320
Motherboard: Asrock 970 Extreme 4
GPU: Zotac GTX 750ti 2gb
Memory: Gskill RipjawsX 8gb (4gbx2) 1600 cl7
PSU: Aerocool Strike-X 500w PSU
Case: Raidmax Super Hurricane

I had read some threads here and as always, the results are halved between i5-4690 and FX 8320. The price in our country (Philippines) is almost the same at around $550-$600. I can't buy anything more expensive than that range. I'll mainly use this for video rendering (sony vegas, after effects), photoshop CC and Lightroom 5, and some gaming.

I am wondering if the AMD is better in multimedia editing and rendering. Also, is there any alternative for GTX 750 ti for multimedia rendering at the same price point?

Another thing to bear in mind is the power consumption and temperature as it is hot here in our country and there is no AC where i am playing.

PS: Newegg is not an option.

Thank you very much in advance!

Due to more cores, the 8320 is better for multicore tasks. But if you can afford the i7-4770, then go for it since it pwns the 8320. Also, I would strongly recommend a better PSU brand, such as a SeaSonic, XFX, or Antec.

In fact, you can get a cheaper R7-260X GPU and an i7-4770 for not much more.

He will use the build for rendering tasks, not so much for gaming.

If you cannot fit an i7 into your budget, then an i5-4570 3.2 GHz CPU should be enough.

I'd get a 650w at least and make sure it is 80 Plus (Bronze and up) and definitely agree with Joseph about getting a reputable brand.

The 8320 is a great processor and definitely would handle everything you need. Plus, I've seen it go on sale for as low as $100 which a steal. The i5 does have a slight edge over it in the Single Core Performance, but not enough that you will really notice it or would affect you at all.

There is definitely alternatives over the GTX 750. Don't count AMD video cards out of the equation at all. They are great performers and usually can be cheaper as well for similar or better performance. Just food for thought about this. Here is a recent article about AMD and Photoshop performance
