Hi everyone, i was wondering if my pc is good enough to play on a 2560x1440 monitor, and if not, what parts should be replaced?
My pc setup is the following:
Intel Core i7-2700K CPU @ 3.50 (with hyperthreading and unlocked)
Asus R9 280x 3GB graphic card
1000 GB Sata HDD
16 GB DDR3 Kingston 1600MHZ
ASUSTeK Computer INC. P8Z68-V GEN3 (SLI SUPPORT)
Power supply: Crosair GS800 - (800W CORSAIR 80+, SLI)
i have long considered buying a Samsung 840 evo 250 GB SSD, but i know that won't change how the computer performs in games.
I have long wanted to change from a 1080p monitor to a 1440p monitor, but i want to make sure that my pc is up for it :)
also i have been loonking on a 1440 p monitor, which is on "sale" (it is a second part deal/ it is a little used monitor.) and the monitor is X-Star DP2710LED, "27"
as the seller says, it has a dead/mis coulered pixel, is this very noticable, and annoying?
I hope that someone can help answer my questions :) ?
Sincerly

You say you don't want to get a SSD because it won't increase performance. Partly true. I mean, it doesn't do anything but load things faster, but that also means you get into the game faster (and if you need to cap objectives, you'll be on the point). Performance will actually drop going from 1080p to 1440p. You're almost doubling the amount of pixels. So, you'll likely be able to play at 1440p, but don't expect to max it out.

this is the original link (danish) http://www.dba.dk/x-star-dp2710led-27-tommer/id-1008121361/
To the side where he bought it from i believe it was ebay, i think this is the link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Matte-X-STAR-DP2710LED-Samsung-PLS-Panel-2560-x-1440-WQHD-27-Monitor-/221362461331?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item338a3b1a93
And i was looking forward to game on max/ almost max settings, as i still havent experienced much difference between the 2 as i have only had a desktop pc instead of a laptop for about half a year :)

the x-star and the quix (i think that is the name) is cheap monitors from korea or something, and i myself is not that sure that they are the best, but still they are like half the price as other monitors :)
and would it be a better idea to get antoher 280x than lets say a gtx 780 or so? :) (i can always sell my current graphic card ;) )

even more than a gtx 780 ti? and with 2 280x's, whould i then be able to play on a 1440p monitor with max setting? Also what is the difference between all the 1440p monitors? what do i look for in the monitors? what makes them better than the others ?
For example why is this http://www.proshop.dk/Skaerm/Samsung-27-S27B970D-PLS-2344636.html?utm_source=pricerunner&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=pricesite
Monitor much more expensive than this one

well i believe that i can get about 300 USD for my current card, so something like 600-700 USD i believe :)
Also why won't a titan be able to max out games on a 1440p monitor? and i could possible get another asus r9 280x for about 300 USD too ;)

Titans are more so directed at the computing crowd. A 780 Ti will outperform a Titan/Black. That being said, if you're truly looking to max out games (Ultra + AA) at 1440p, you'll need two 780 Tis. Or two 780s. I have two 780s and can max out @ 1440p.

So how much of a difference will another r9 280x do than just a single one :)? And still, what should i look for in a 1440p monitor :)? And/or do you have any sugestions to one?

allright, but i've just looked at it and the ti is quite more expencive than 2x r9 280x's.
As i already have one and can buy another for about 275 USD, or sell my own for 275 USD, the price on the gtx 780 ti is still approx. 825 USD. so the price on the gtx 780 ti is about 300 USD Higher than 2x r9 280x's, so will it be worth this extra cash? i'm not looking forward to spending that much on the graphic card atm anyway :)

ohh and also about the monitors, i can buy a used one for the same price as the cheaper one, but are they equal in performance on gaming, and the experience :) ?

not that much atm, just got a job, so i though i would upgrade my computer in the nearest furture :) but i would only be willing to pay about 300 USD for another, or 600 USD if i can sell my current card for 300 USD :)

but would it be better than 2x r9 280x's ? i'm sry that i have so many questions, i just want to spend my money wisely :)
but i still dont know what monitor to buy :/ as you say, they're both good, so why is one of them so much more expencive than the other :)? and what "contrast" on a 1440p monitor would be optimal :) ?
