I am going to upgrade to my GPU to a Nvidia GTX 780 ti, and I thought with such a powerful card I should also upgrade my 1080p monitor to a 1440p one. So I looked around and found a great one, the ASUS PB278Q, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236294.
The 5ms refresh rate is something I'm not too pleased with but people said they don't notice it. Then I looked around and found this beautiful looking one, the ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q, http://rog.asus.com/324842014/gaming-monitors/swift-pg278q-available-july-g-sync-144hz-wqhd-gaming-monitor. With its 27" 1440p, 1ms, and 144Hz and G-sync. It seems like the perfect monitor for what I am looking for, it's coming out in July and it's probably going to be ~$800. Do you think the ASUS ROG is practical though?

The PB278Q is a great one and anticipate the the ROG will be even better, not too positive if about $250 better, but won' know for sure till we see one up close and personal
