I've recently built my first gaming pc (and expected to run into some sorts of problems) and it tends to restart after I do some gaming (BF4, Skyrim, MK9). My specs are:
MSI z87-g45 mobo
i5 4670k with Evo 212 CM
Sapphire Dual X R9 280x
WD Blue 500GB
Corsair Vengeance 1600 DDR3 RAM
Corsair tx650m
Windows 8.1 Pro
I have updated my drivers with amd 14.6 beta, updated my BIOS, and even ran some games in very low settings and it still restarts. I get no message or notification as to what is causing it. Please help. I suspect either bad gpu or bad psu but unfortunately I do not have spares to switch and test. Nothing is OCed and all temperature readings are normal.

Does it also happen if you run a video card benchmark for a period of time like Unigen Heaven or similar? How about if you run a good CPU testing tool like Prime95? If neither of those, then how about if you run both at once? If none of those even, how about if you run a memory testing setup like the build in windows one or MemTest86?

I've come back from work and ran these tests. I ran the stress tests for over 5 min with no problems. I did a clean install of my drivers as well and my PC still restarts around 30 sec-1 min of play time.
