Yes, it is compatible. You have 1* PCIe x16 which is all you need.

Thanks for the info.
I would like to know one more thing, that is
whether the above mentioned CPU supports dual channel memory configuration.
Because I'm planning for an upgrade to 2*4GB RAM.

Your motherboard does support Dual Channel RAM. Keep in mind 8GB of RAM requires a 64bit OS to be utilized. If you're running Windows XP or a 32bit version of Windows 7 it will only be able to access 4GB's.

The GT 610 is actually a re-badged GT 520 which is marginally better than the least expensive Radeon card - the HD 5450. The down side is the GT 610 is now 3-generations old. But if these are the only two cards that fit your budget at this time, the GT 610 is a better choice.

On a side note: Depending on your geographical location, you may be better off looking into purchasing a card second hand. In my region, the GT 610 costs around $50 CDN. For $50 people are selling HD 6670's, HD 6850's, GTX 650's , etc.

I'm not sure if that is a viable option for you, but just thought I'd mention it as buying second hand has always served me well.
