So one sad day, i was plugging in my 1.5tb into my pc (it usually works)... but then the light flashed, motors were humming from the external, but somehow my pc was not sensing it. no clicking sounds heard, no burnt smell, not sure what exactly happened.

SPECS OF HDD: 1.5 TB, WD MY PASSPORT
WD15NMVW-11W68S0

some time later, i figured it should be a pcb issue, so i bought the donor board, tested it to maKe sure it worked, transferred the bios firmware chips from original onto donor pcb.
this time i plugged it into my pc again with the transferred bios, but it only recognizes the usb adapter and not reading the storage unit or anything. at this point i dont hear or feel any movement from the motor parts either (ie. storage unit). i check in "disk management" and notice that it says unknown next to my drive, no amount of storage noted at all, not initialized. i tried to initialize and it says io error.

at this point im out of ideas. i made sure that all the bios legs were soldered properly onto the board, checked if the board was fried or delaminated, but negative on anything hardware that could be of issue.

thanks in advance. id appreciate any help :) :) :)
