Alright, so I'm thinking about buying/building my first rig and I'm confused on what graphics card to get... I'm building this computer for gaming, and I want a Nvidia GeForce. Where I'm getting it from, there's two types of the same card.. a 2GB version and a 4GB version, and for some reason, their FPS benchmark tips toward the 2GB version saying its frame-rate is just a little better.

The CPU I'm getting with it is an Intel® Core™ i7-4790K 4.0 GHz 8MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1150, and I'll probably overclock it some.

I'm just ultimately confused, I need to know what to get.. I want the best for the price, and the 2GB version is about $100 cheaper, but, I'm willing to pay the extra money for better performance. Thanks for the help!:)

The extra memory will only be helpful if you're running multiple monitors or playing at very high resolutions (not 1080p, but 1600p or 4K). And maybe it would be useful if you're downloading HD texture mods for games like Skyrim. Except for those reasons, there is no justifiable reason to get a 4 GB, unless you're getting a great deal on it.

Well, that's what I want.. I like to overclock and push things. Ultra settings, texture packs.. I'm not getting a 4k monitor or anything, but I didn't know what difference in quality and overall frame-rate these cards vary in.

Quality should be the same. If a game is running unmodded on a 1080p monitor, there should be no framerate difference at all. It's up to you, if you want to pay the extra $100 for improved memory.

P.S. Their overclocking abilities should be the same.
