New laptop, with Redline boost?

I'm looking at a new laptop for school next year and I think I have settled on the MSI G60 Pro from xotic pc.

And as a part of their services they offer Redline os overclocking and a gpu overclock. And I was wondering if they were worth it. If it is similar to a desktop overclocking I would feel comfortable overclocking the laptop because I have an overclocked desktop. But I have never overclocked a laptop. And the os overclocking seems a little like a scam for more money, but if there is a noticeable improvement I would consider it.

as for overclocking, in a laptop, theres not much you can do overclocking wise. Everything they can do, you can do with intel extreme tuning utility and a program like msi afterburner. But unlike desktops, there minimal overclocking to be done on a laptop.

With that said, heat in a laptop is the more often that not limiting factor. When things get hot enough, the computer will throttle itself. And withlaptops more often than not, your not even getting 100% for more than half hour or so as the heat just gets to high. When you overclock, your increasing heat as well. And with an overclock, you'll get throttled sooner, and be sitting at the same spot performance wise as you would without having overclocked at all.

With pc, overclocking...

With pc, overclocking is worth it, laptops it isn't at all. Plus I would never pay someone to overclock as its very simple, and doesn't give that much performance boost.
