Installed a Seagate Barracuda 3T HDD to my current system. Currently running Windows 7 64bit, Intel i7-3770k, Asrock z77 Extreme4, 8G RAM, Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256G as boot. I ran the Seagate DiskWizard but when I go to My Computer, I still don't see the drive listed. Also, should I have initialized the HDD as MBR or GPT. I did MBR but now think I should have done GPT because it is 3T.

Needs to be GPT to see all 3TB, MBR max is 2040GB, If you go to disk management you should see the drive and you can change partitioning.

GPT on drives over 2.2TB and if your booting off it.

If you go in to drive manager, it should see the drive, even if offline/unformatted.

Select and format, not forgetting to give it a drive letter.

I changed the partitioning but it still does not appear on in disk management under "Volumes". Where/How do I format it and give it a drive letter?

Where/How do I format it and give it a drive letter? There doesn't seem to be any option for that in Disk Management? At the top of 'Disk Management' there are my older drives listed in the box with the info on Volume, Layout, Type, File System, etc. Up there I can right click on the drives and get the options to format and change drive letter etc. But my new drive isn't there. It is listed below that (with the other drives) and is "online" but it says "unallocated" where as the others are "healthy"
