I need to upgrade my current 450 watt psu for my gpu upgrade
I have been reading that this psu is great in terms of power.
However i heard that you need two 8 pin connecters from the psu..
I know that the gpu comes with adapter's but i am buying it used and it probably wont come
with it. I am asking because Where i am from ordering an adapter isn't really an option and the 280x price is a steal. Would a fsp 700 watt have these 8 pin connectors?

It should. My EVGA Supernova 1000-P2 has all kinds of cables.

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-ax760

160$

it comes with two single PCIe cables that split at the end into 2 6+2 pin connectors. And two single PCIe cables that just has 1 6+2 pin connectors

I found the seasonic for a bit cheaper on a different site..
Are you sure the seasonic does not have the 8 pins needed?

What do you mean by modular?

meaning u can remove cables and are changeable. standard powersupplys dont have that option

non modular power supply all the cables are connected to the power supply and cant be removed. the semi one most times has the 24 pin atx and the 8 pin atx power cables fixed to the supply. the last unit all the cables can be removed if not needed.
