I've recently been having issues with the dreaded BSOD, It first occured a couple of days ago and I've been researching possible fixes online but haven't had much luck. I have a Dell Inspiron N4110 stock, I haven't made any modifications to it.
After it crashed, I attempted to boot it up normally to make sure that it wasn't a one time thing. After figuring that it wasn't I booted it up into safe mode where it ran without error, but restarting to normal mode cause the same crash. I decided to disable some of the startup programs because it was crashing while still loading the desktop icons and it bought my computer a few more seconds before still crashing.
This morning I decided to disable all of the startup programs to see if it would do anything and it finally loaded normal mode. Then I checked to action center in the control panel to see if the computer knew what was crashing and it said that the video card had stopped working several times. I then went onto AMD's website and downloaded their detection software because I do not know the exact video card I have. Halfway through the installation process, the BSOD happened leading me to believe that it's a problem with the video card.
I also downloaded a program that allowed me to view the errors the BSOD was giving me, there were 4 unique ones. These 2 appeared after I turned off the startup programs: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION.
And the other 2 appeared initially: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.
Any suggestions on a course of action would be appreciated, Thanks.
