I was in the middle of playing borderlands with my friends and all the sudden my pc turns off. I try to turn it back on and it refused to. Then unplugged everything and open it up and everything seemed fairly hot inside. Plugged in everything again tried to turn it back on after it cooled off, everything would boot up besides the graphics card and ontop of that the VGA led is pure red. Tried switching it to a different PCI slot and same problem. Then I took out the old graphics card and replaced the new one with it and now everthing is running fine.
So my question now is my r9 290 (the new card) dead and do I have to replace it or can I fix it somehow?
Note that I've had this card for a month and a half
