AMD's Newest Twist for FX CPUs - LC in a box

Oh AMD... I'd actually like to see a new socket and a new line of CPUs from them in the 'high-end' line, but it seems that they're going to focus on the APU side of their products and keep refreshing AM3+, eventually letting Intel have a monopoly on gaming CPUs. I know this is far fetched, but if Intel loses its only competitor, we can say goodbye to fair pricing.

Don't know, I don't think so, think Intel'll keep improving and prob keep prices level to entice folks to update CPUs every other year or so, AMD is supposedly looking to outsource chip development, which may be a plus as they haven't really done anything since BullDozer, which wan't a big leap other than the additional cores, PileDriver was just the Dull Dozer on steroids (pre-OCed CPus to try and battle Intel).
