I tried to hook up my laptop netflix to my.little brothers flatscreen with HD cable and.when i had.my laptop screen on the tvand tried.to open netflix is said resolution to.small. i went to adjust but its at its highest. Any help would be appreciated pls and.thanks

what res are you using and are you using the windows 8 app?
the minimum res for windows 8 apps is 1280x768.

Well without knowing which laptop you have so we can check the supported resolutions it can do all I can suggest is use the function key combo to switch to ONLY the External display and try setting the resolution again. If it works then dont forget to change the resolution back before you disconnect from the tv.
On your laptop, press <Window>-P, and select "extend".. This way, TV resolution can be different from your laptop resolution. You will have to move your Netflix to this second screen, move the mouse around to see which side this second monitor clipped on.
