Motherboard doesn't support PCIe 3.0.

Solution

You are correct, you can certainly crosssfire two 3.0 cards in two 2.0 x16 slots. The bare minimum you'd want to run the two cards is x8/x8 at 2.0 speeds (you can technically run crossfire using slots running at x4 speed, but I personally wouldn't).

I realize this, but I was wondering if it would be better to get a new motherboard that supports 3.0 first? Or just get it if I ever want to xfire.
