Alright so I have this fan: Cooler Master 120mm Blue LED SickleFlow

http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/sickleflow...

Can I flip the fan backward to create an intake fan or exhaust? Or is it only designed as an intake fan or exhaust. So pretty much I wanna know if I can use it for both purposes? (I don't mean function both as an intake and exhaust at once.)

More about : flip case fan airflow direction

yes they're designed to "blow" or "suck" depending on which direction you mount them.

Yes you can.

Look at it this way:
Take the side panel off your case.
Hold the fan in the proper orientation at the front of the case. It is 'intake'.
Without rotating or otherwise changing the orientation....hold the fan at the back of the case. It is now 'exhaust'.

Still blowing in the exact same direction, but doing a whole different thing.

The fan spins, and air blow through the fan, in one direction. Where and how you mount it is the key.

Thanks for such a great explanation. Just that how do I know that it is acting as intake or exhaust. Is it in the manual somewhere?

Generally, when you see the label, that is the sucking side. It blows out the other side.
