system bottleneck check

Solution

1600MHz if fast RAM! That is fast enough to do well with 6GB or even get away with 4GB and have good performance. In that case, that is definitely not your bottleneck.

Your CPU is not the bottleneck here. That is more than powerful enough to keep up with your graphics card.

But your RAM might be bottlenecking your entire system. If that is slow RAM, you need more RAM. Go with at least 6GB, or more favorably 8GB or more for good performance.

Or at least get a 1333Mhz+ stick from hyperx or corsair. Your ram will be only noticeable in higher end games that like memory, ex.. Anything built with cryengine or unreal, they are notorious memory hogs. (crysis series) my personal recommendation is 16GB for optimal performance if running 64-bit. Otherwise your 4gb will be all the system will handle.

veniteo, I'm pretty sure that everybody runs 64-bit on their gaming machines by now. Also, Hyper-X is not a brand. It is Kingston's name for their ABSOLUTELY AMAZING RAM. Really, Kingston makes some of the best stuff that I've ever come across.

misfitactual,
Your CPU runs a 64-Bit Instruction Set. To put it in simple words, your computer (theoretically) supports 16.8 Million Terabytes, but you can't afford that, nor would your motherboard support that much RAM, as NO CHIPSET FROM 2014 WOULD EVER BE ABLE TO READ AND WRITE THAT MUCH RANDOM ACCESS DATA. But this means that you should probably get 4 or 6GB of DDR3-1600 RAM from Kingston, Corsair, or somebody like them.

You would be surprised, and I don't think he was referring to a gaming system bud. Hyperx and Kingston are synonymous, at least for me. I think of Kingston when hyperx comes up, and hyperx when Kingston comes up :)
