Motherboard USB 2.0 Headers Not Working?

I have an ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer motherboard, and a Fractal Design Define R4 case. The usb cable from the case is plugged into one of the two usb 2.0 headers on the mobo. The usb ports will not work on the front of the case.

Any ideas of what I could be missing, or is there a fault with the case or mobo?

I believe I know what your issue is. Maybe.

I have built a system with that case before. The USB connectors on the front of the case on the board can disconnect from the PCB near the USB ports on the front.
