good day every body ..
first of all i want to thank every member who invests his time in helping the other less knowledgeable ones ..

my case is simple ..
im running 2 X 7950 in cross fire and an OCD 4.5GHZ FX 8350 and i play on 2560X1440 .
performance wise it is ok and i can pretty run most games in max quality ..
off course unless the game is not optimized for crossfire like watch dogs for ex ..
my other issue is the mind blowing heat specially when im living in a warm climate .

in the time being a friend of mine is offering me his almost brand new sapphire r9 290 in exchange for one of my 7950 + a decent amount of cash around 120$

shall i abandon cross fire setup and go for this r9290 and perhaps buying another one in the future ? or im good with my current setup ?
but if i went with this choice ill be left with just 1 r9290 for at least 3-6 months before im able to add another card ...
so will just 1 r9290 card be able to back me maxing the current games on 2560X1440 ?

what makes me pretty lean towards this choice is that the 7950 is loosing its value totally where im living and in around a year from now i dont believe it would get me any money ... so i thought maybe trading both in towards new released cards will give me further time in the future .. and it will future proof my setup ..

can you guys advice me what should i do ? im really very confused ..
and its pretty hazy whether cross fire is good or no good .. yah or nah ?
i dont know ..

.
Seems like 7950 crossfired gives more performance than single R9 290.
But if they are working properly then why to change. But brand new R9 290 120$+7950 is also not bad!
Its your dilemma now....
