my mouse will not work,,it works on my husbands laptop but not mine, My pad works.

2 things to try for me. plug in a usb keyboard, from a desktop if you have one and see if that works. the other would to be to boot into safe mode. the easiest way to do this is by running msconfig, and selecting diagnostic startup. See if your usb mouse works in there. when done, open msconfig and select normal boot mode.
