Currently I run 2 Radeon HD 6850's in Xfire. The compatibility issues with games are annoying as hell. Question is, will I take a hit in performance by 'upgrading' to a Gigabyte GTX-760?

Will the GPU be bottlenecked being that it's PCIE 3.0?

Solution

NO!!! It will not be bottlenecked at all (Sorry we get this silly question a lot around here). Otherwise I would say the 760 will perform at least 40% better.

However you would be silly to get a 760 over a similarly priced 280X:

The GTX 760 has a higher core clock/boost clock. The card you linked also only has 3gb VRAM (not saying i'd even use 3gb, or 4).

What makes the 280x better than the GTX 760?
