I have literally just brought my i7 4790k and MSI Gaming 5 motherboard from ebay (argos shop)
I was wondering can i still use thermal paste on this CPU but also if anyone has a recommendation for a good thermal paste compound to use?
I have used Arctic Silver thermal paste before and it did well with my 2700k, just want to know if there are any recommendation to use specifically with this cpu, due to its new thermal interface material.

i know its between the circuitry and the heat spreader, i meant more along the lines does the top of the CPU use a different material from previous chips, that might react badly to specific thermal pastes
