okay, I'm at my wits end here with this one. i just built a custom computer and it ran windows 7 for a couple days and then i got a BSOD and its never been the same since. no matter what i do, i tried booting from a usb to clean install but that freezes at starting windows, i try and run in safe mode and it gets stuck at either disks.sys or classpnp.sys..... i even installed windows 7 from my macbook via bootcamp and brought it back over to the pc and it still hangs on starting windows. The kicker is, i ran into an old xp install disc and that installs fine and runs perfectly smooth so that wouldn't indicate a hardware issue correct? even when i try and install windows 7 from xp via bootable usb, in the end it hangs at starting windows. PLEASE HELP

make sure the motherboard has the newest bios file. pull one dimm to see if it a ram issue. when you boot into windows 7 installer go to advance mode and remove all the partions and then reboot and start fresh. in the bios make sure the sata ports set to achi mode. make sure secure boot is off and legacy device are on. also when you install windows 7 make sure you have the newest intel chipset drivers on a usb stick or disk. go into advance mode f6 and install the newest inf chipset drivers.
