My HP Laptop cannot connect to my router using WPA-2 type passwords anymore

Hi guys,

For some reason, I cannot connect to my router using WPA-2 passwords anymore today. When I disconnected the ethernet cable from my laptop to carry it to the living room, I could not connect to the router even correctly entering the password.

When this problem occurs I....
- updated my wireless adapter drivers and computer with the other optional updates
- changed the password of the WPA-2 type, did not solve problem
- changed the router password to WEP, WPA, no password, laptop was able to connect (currently running on WPA but I am looking for a more secure connection)
- restarted the computer and router, did not solve problem

My sister was able to connect to the router using her computer (MACBOOK). My computer is an HP ENVY 15 NOTEBOOK PC which I bought last summer. I was using WPA-2 personal for a long time but it suddenly stops supporting it. Do you guys have any idea?

  1. Try shutting the down, completely off. Then power on and see if that resolves the problem.
