I am currently building a gaming PC. I bought a 550W corsair power supply I'm wondering if it will be big enough.
I have: nvidia GeForce gtx 780
Intel i7 4790 3.6GHz
2 sticks ddr3 ram
3 140mm fans
1 7200 rpm sata hdd
1 blu ray drive
I am also thinking of adding a liquid CPU cooler in the future as well as a ssd.
Asus gave me a 700W recommendation but extreme said 514W.
I don't want my system to be under powered so if anyone with experience would know if this is enough that would be great.

Hi - what model # is the Corsair 550 you have? There are a couple that have enough +12v amps to run a sys with a gtx780. GPU mfgs routinely overstate PSU wattage necessary to account for older designs that
do not have enough power on the +12v rail(s) or those POS PSU's that lie & exaggerate their power specs.

Altho a good quality 550w unit (with at least 42 +12v amps and Haswell ready) will run that system, I
would opt for a good quality 650w unit.
