Just a quick question, I was wondering if dual sli on 780 ti's will be good enough for a 4k display for if I should strive for 3 sli.

If any of you need to know I would also be running an i7 4970k, 16gb of ddr3 1600 RAM, and running it on an Asus PB287Q 28.0" monitor.

Thanks in advanced!

I think I saw a benchmark somewhere saying that those two indeed are the choice for 4K gaming. But since you're going for that expensive, you could have some faster ram...
I thought it was recommended to use Titans over the 780ti for 4K applications (especially gaming) because the increased memory bandwidth really comes into play here.

I would not go for 3 780 ti in SLI for 4k, at that point you're becoming graphics memory bottle-necked. basically, if you can't get playable frame-rates on two 780 ti, you're kinda stuck unless you upgrade to titans or next-gen GPUs

Hi,

780ti sli should be good enough for most games at 4k but you may have to tone down the settings eg No AA, etc..
3 of them should make things a bit faster if they work, even 4 of them should make things fly. The problem would be CPU and VRAM limiting the potential... I feel.
But if you are still in the planning stage, maybe get something with a bigger VRAM for future proofing.

Good luck.
