Which upgrade is more worth it? I have $240 saved up atm, but also looking to buy a new monitor, so I am on a sorta low budget.

My Current specs are:
GPU: GTX 760
CPU: AMD FX 6300

Should I get a new motherboard (around $150) and an i5-3570k (around $220)

Or an AMD FX-8350 (around $180)

I want to mostly play these games:
Minecraft
DayZ
Battlefield 3, 4, and Hardline
Nether
APB: Reloaded
Watch_Dogs

You do not really need a SSD for many reasons they are not that great.

Your video card is decent and cpu is fine.

Maybe look into a monitor and a 7200rpm 64mb cache hard drive for your page file. I like Western Digital.

Neither! The FX8350 would only be an upgrade some of the time, most of the time, you wouldn't notice the difference. If you want to upgrade, don't get a 3rd gen Intel either, get a 4th gen i5. Any of them. 4430, 4440, 4460, 4570, 4590, etc... you don't even need to bother with overclocking.

So what do you think I should upgrade? Should I get a good monitor? SSD?

My Motherboard is the ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0, and my PSU is the Rosewill RD600, 8GB of ram.

Well the motherboard is fine, and that's not a completely terrible psu, so I would look at maybe adding a ssd, and maybe a cpu cooler to overclock if you don't already have one. That will boost performance a good bit. I would eventually look to switch over to Intel though and get a newer/better psu then as well.

Ok thank you, does a good monitor (Like an asus one thats 144hz) improve performance?

You can not really put a better FX on your mobo but you could give it a light overclock.. And if it is running well for you... do not upgrade just yet... there is going to be some exciting releases from AMD Nvidia and Intel coming up.

It's running decent, but I can't play APB @ 60fps+ (around 30-40) and I cant play BF3/4/Hardline @ 60fps+ (Around 30-50) I know my PC isn't the best, but i have seen people get 60+ FPS with this build on BF3 and I don't know why.

Where would I find ITC processing? (Like where in the control panel) I am using HDMI.

What do you mean by "pc/game mode"??? Like in the NVIDIA control panel? Or just a setting for the PC overall.

Why buy a dead and outdated platform? If spending the money on a new board, and CPU, make the upgrade worth it.

Yes i agree, but he is just a gamer that is not rich and knows some but not a whole lot. His current system could get him to the next phase in technology as my mine will do fine for me so i am saving.. for something amazing to roll around in less than 2 years.

I am actually not using a monitor, I am technically using a TV itself. Could I still find the setting in my TV settings? Sorry, I am not a very techy person :p

The $42 difference may seem like a lot, but by the time he pays for an after market cooler in order to overclock, the price would practically be the same. The Xeon would be better no matter how much the FX is overclocked. This is a no contest.

Of course he could save $50 or more by just getting an i5.
