I have a degaussed 80GB IDE Hard Disk . No information about what method is used for degaussing it. Can we reuse the Hard Disk? Is there any chance we can reverse the degaussing ?

If it was actually degaussed by running it through an electromagnet then it's toast. The servo platter will have been erased, leaving no head positioning information. The servo tracks can only be written at the factory.

recovering depends on how well the degaussing was done. If the bios can detect the drive, try running a testdisk deepscan mode. If the bios can't see the drive then the low level format info truly has been destroyed and the drive is now a paperweight.
