I've just assembled everything, put cpu in motherboard, put in ram, tested, worked fine went to bios, put board in case attached everything started up and checked and everything was running fine.

Went out for an hour and a half, now computer not booting, power LED not lighting up, not entering BIOS.

I've tried disconnecting everything but the CPU, ram, motherboard and psu, still nothing no BIOS no power LED, nothing. Plugged speaker into motherboard, no beeps, plugged speaker in the other way, no beeps.

Now I've tried disconnecting the power button and LEDS and reconnecting and now the LEDs are lighting up for power but nothing is happening.

The CPU fan was coming on and everytime I would change the voltage on the case fan controller the CPU fan would stop and then start again after a few seconds.

Feels like something power related. Try checking these (no matter how stupid they may be).

Are you absolutely sure everything's plugged in correctly on any end?
Was there a power outage while you were away? Maybe due to stormy weather?
Did you check the physical on/off switch on your PSU?

Also, please state brand and model of your PSU.

So I took the motherboard back out, re-seated the ram and the computer booted up into bios. Exited bios, put the motherboard back into the case, wired everything up and reattached the graphics card and now nothing is happening again unless I go through the process of taking out and putting back in the RAM

Okay, I can boot up the system and get things working but I have to take all the RAM out and then put it back in first, otherwise nothing happens.

The computer restarts fine, but if I shutdown and then try to turn it back on nothing will happen unless I take out both sticks of RAM, but them back in and then try to turn on.

Can anyone tell me what this is, do I have faulty RAM or something? Do I not have the correct drivers for my motherboard?

And thanks for the help so far guys, I appreciate
