Good morning all, thought I should seek help here since the issue is driving me crazy due to its inconsistency.

Basically every few days it shows up: a rectangle/ line of random colors on my screen, that usually goes away if I change the resolution or close the window it appears on.

Here is my system specs (The build is 2 weeks old):

intel i7 4770K (at stock/auto boost speed).
mb: Gigabyte G1 sniper Z87
RAM: AData 2x 8GB @ 1600 MHz
video card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X, 3GB with latest non-beta catalyst driver (14.2)
PSU: cooler master 850W
Running windows 7 64-bit with all the updates.
Temperature appears to be normal for both CPU and GPU (40-50's)

So far, I've been encountering this problem in World of Warcraft and recently Chrome.

This is an example of what I got yesterday with Chrome.

Every time I refreshed, it appeared at a different screen location. Other tabs were fine, and when this tab was closed it was gone.

Initially I was doubting my monitor or cable, but since I can capture this with print screen, I guess I can rule it out. Also what appears to be common in those occurrences is having World of Warcraft running either active window or in the background.

Has not happened with other games like Tropico 5 and Far cry 3, but again I haven't been playing really that much, so can't draw a definite conclusion here.

I'm kind of worried about not getting an rma since the issue is very occasional -but it's really bothering me-, and I don't even know for sure what is at fault.

Any input or suggestion of what the cause might be would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, I'll give my old monitor a try for some time and see, though I think the artifacts wouldn't have appeared on the screen shots if it was the culprit.
