My friend gave me his working i7 4770K 3.5GHZ which I saw was working and some motherboard, because he got new parts. I was putting the processor in, but then my cat jumped on my table. She tried to take my mouse pad like always, but I stopped her. I felt bad because she was cuddling on my socks, but I sent her away. Once I got all of her fur and stuff cleaned up, I went to place the processor in. When I tested it on my friend's PC (as I do not have parts yet, but I'm saving the processor for when I do have parts), it wouldn't even turn on. Please help!

Assuming this is the truth and someone just gave you a $340 4770k (what did he upgrade to, a Ivy-E?) then, I would check that your kitty didn't get any of her fur inside the CPU socket's tiny pins. Also, make sure that your motherboard was not scratched anywhere, check the traces on the top and the bottom specifically the ones near the CPU socket. The most common area is probably right under the lever on the socket. If you accidentally scratched any of the traces, that would explain the no power issue. Also check that your stand offs are installed on the case and that the power supply is installed properly.
