No video output from Graphics card.

Hello im using a AMD 6950 2gb GDDR5 graphics card and cant get any video output. I tried with another graphics card and it worked fine. The graphics card is new, is there a way to know if it just doesnt work? or am i missing something?

i cant try it in another pc and i can send it back i just wanted to make sure i needed to do something else for it to work. :s

so i bought a different graphics card its a R7 260X 2gb DDR5 Radeon, i couldnt get output on my screen. My power has a 600w power and this card only requires 500w. Like i said i tried with another graphics card that doesnt require connecting it to the power outlet and i was able to get video on the screen. Can someone help me please i dont know whats wrong.
