File disappeared after chkdsk ran

I've ran chkdsk on my external hdd drive. After this one very important file (named BUDGET.xls) disappeared. Below you can see log:

Chkdsk was executed in read/write mode.

Yes, run recovery software such as recuva (gui based) or testdisk(command line driven)
be sure to have something to recover too. Most software will not let you recover a file to the same drive you are recovering from, its just not a smart thing to do.

In the meantime, try not to use the drive/pc until you are ready.

Lastly, always keep in mind that your drive can crap out at anytime and lose everything for good. Important files always need to be stored in multiple locations and devices. Having more than 1 copy of important files is the only way to survive a drive crash.
